The owner of an Audi A4 came to us with complaints of door panel buzzing, highway drone, and weak mid-bass response.
After inspection and a quick dB measurement, we recommended a 4-door sound deadening package using a two-layer STP system: vibration damping combined with an acoustic and thermal decoupler.
We removed the trims, thoroughly degreased the metal, inspected for corrosion, and sealed service holes and speaker mounts.
A lightweight, non-bitumen solution was used to avoid additional weight and ensure OEM-quality reassembly with no strain on door hinges.

Door Inspection
After disassembling the door, we found no sound-absorbing material inside. The surface was then cleaned and thoroughly degreased.

The first layer is STP Gold, a vibration-damping material designed to reduce vibration and road noise.

The second layer is STP Sonora, designed to reduce noise transmission into the cabin. It also helps stabilise temperature and improve overall acoustic comfort.
Plastic Door Card
To prevent plastic rattles, STP Gold vibration damping is installed on the contact areas. On top of this, an Anti-Noise Pack is applied to each clip.
