• Identified Issues
    • Road noise from wheel arches
    • Engine noise
    • High levels of vibration and interior/exterior noise
    • Door rattles
  • Work Performed
    • Comprehensive soundproofing
    • External treatment of wheel arches
    • Soundproofing of the front panel
  • Results
    • Up to 12 dB noise reduction in the doors and floor, resulting in a significantly quieter cabin.
Dimitriy was incredibly knowledgeable and recommended the perfect solution for my new Golf R. The car is now over 10 dB quieter and drives more like a luxury car than a VW.
It feels solid and refined — absolutely awesome.

Thanks to Dimitriy and his team!

Floor Sound Proofing
The entire interior was removed to gain access to the metal panels. We can see only small factory strips of vibration damping, which provide minimal noise reduction.
Floor Sound Proofing
The floor was sound-deadened with STP Aerocell 6 mm, a high-efficiency material designed for large flat metal surfaces exposed to constant road vibration and mechanical stress.

Benefits of Floor Soundproofing Reduces

Reduces aerodynamic and road noise, resulting in a quieter and more refined cabin environment.

Minimises vibration loads on the vehicle’s body, improving comfort and extending panel longevity.

Dampens impact noise from gravel, sand, and uneven surfaces striking the underbody.

Improves thermal insulation, helping keep the cabin cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

Overall, this combination delivers a noticeable improvement in acoustic comfort and driving refinement, particularly beneficial for long-distance touring and off-road use of the Land Cruiser 79.

Doors Sound Proof

Door Soundproofing: The doors of the Golf R were treated with a two-layer system:
  • STP Aerocell 6mm— vibration-damping layer
  • STP Aero— acoustic and moisture-resistant insulation
This combination eliminates metal resonance, reduces external noise, and removes door panel rattles.

As a result, the doors close with a solid, premium feel, and the cabin becomes noticeably quieter even at speed.

Rear Section / Boot Area

The rear section of the Golf R has minimal factory insulation, allowing road and exhaust noise to enter the cabin.

We applied sound and heat insulation to reduce noise transfer and improve overall cabin comfort — making the drive quieter and more refined without affecting performance.

Bonnet

Since the bonnet is conneted to the main body, it also tends to resonate and sends a noise to the main body.
