Photo Report of Completed Work
The Toyota Hiace is a large van often used for long-distance travel. To reduce driver fatigue and vibration impact, we carried out comprehensive sound deadening with additional dashboard treatment.
Roof Sound Proofing
Car soundproofing, like many repair processes, begins with the roof. We removed the headliner and found that the factory sound insulation had largely deteriorated and was barely present. We removed the remnants, then cleaned and thoroughly degreased the entire surface.

The first layer of STP Diamond vibration damping material was carefully applied and rolled using special tools. The reinforcement ribs were left uncovered.

Roof Sound Proofing
The second layer is STP Biplast sound absorber, installed on the roof lining. It is securely fixed and provides effective sound absorption, reducing both external and internal noise.

It helps eliminate roof resonance and the “drum effect” commonly associated with untreated roofs. The factory trim was then reinstalled. Roof soundproofing is completed.

Floor Sound Proofing
The Toyota Hiace is a comfortable and spacious van. We stripped the interior, removing the seats, central tunnel, and floor covering.
The factory sound insulation is at a basic level, with bitumen vibration damping applied only in partial coverage. However, it is in good condition, so removal was not necessary.

Floor Sound Proof

Prior to installation, the entire surface was cleaned and thoroughly degreased.
The first layer is STP Diamond vibration damping material. It is designed for professional use and has no embossed pattern, which is often used for visual control of proper rolling in beginner applications.

The installation was straightforward, as the surface had minimal areas with complex relief.

Floor Sound Proof

The surface is flat, with no irregularities under the second-row seats. Both the interior floor and the trunk are key focus areas in this case.

Therefore, the second layer consists of STP Bromo sandwich material, which features increased moisture resistance.

Floor Sound Proof

STP Bromo was applied only to the central tunnel and the inner wheel arch areas. After the sound insulation materials were installed, the factory floor covering was reinstalled.

Boot Sound Proof

The factory material was removed in the luggage compartment: completely from the side panels and partially from the wheel arches. The surface was then cleaned and thoroughly degreased.

Boot Sound Proof

The first layer consists of vibration-damping material: STP Gold on the wheel arches and STP Diamond on the side panels.

Boot Sound Proof

The side panels were treated with corrugated STP Biplast sound absorber. The wheel arches were covered with a highly effective STP Bromo multilayer sandwich material, combining both sound absorption and sound insulation properties. The factory protective lining was then reinstalled.

Doors Sound Proof

Using specialized STP tools, the clips were removed and the door panels were disassembled. The doors were completely bare and resonant. There was no need to remove the factory materials.

Doors Sound Proof

The surface was cleaned and thoroughly degreased. STP Diamond vibration damping material was then applied and rolled in. The reinforcement ribs and drain holes were left uncovered.

Doors Sound Proof

The second layer is STP Sonora sandwich material, combining sound absorption and sound insulation properties. The material fully covers the STP Diamond vibration-damping layer.

STP Sonora features a high-strength adhesive layer, so no rolling is required during installation.

Doors Sound Proof

To improve corrosion protection and shield the sound-absorbing materials from moisture and vapor, the service openings were sealed with STP Diamond material. Its rigidity allows it to maintain its shape even across large open sections.

All wiring, window regulator components, and other moving elements were left uncovered to ensure proper operation and serviceability.

Doors Sound Proof

The factory sound-absorbing material, which offered minimal effectiveness, was removed from the door trim panel and replaced with STP Biplast.

An anti-rattle treatment was also applied along the edges of the door using 2–3 cm wide STP Biplast 5K tape installed around the perimeter.
