Photo Report of Completed Work
The owner of the vehicle came to us for partial sound deadening. He was most concerned about low-frequency hum from the vehicle floor and vibrations from the rear panel, which caused resonance on uneven surfaces and at high speeds.
After disassembling the interior, we began the sound deadening process starting with the roof.
Roof Sound Proofing

We removed the factory material, then cleaned and thoroughly degreased the roof metal.

Roof Sound Proofing

We install STP Gold vibration-damping material as the first layer.

Roof Sound Proofing

The second layer is STP Biplast sound absorber.

Floor Sound Proof

We clean the interior floor, removing dirt and dust accumulated over years of use.

Floor Sound Proof

The first layer installed on the cabin floor is STP Gold vibration damping material. Its high KMP allows it to effectively dampen vibrations and reduce their transmission to surrounding panels.

Floor Sound Proof

The second layer is STP NoiseBlock sound insulation membrane, installed on the interior floor. It consists of a dense, highly filled polymer with a non-woven fabric layer.

Rear wall Sound Proof

We apply STP Aero vibration damping material to the rear wall of the vehicle. The rear seat shelf is treated with STP Aero Plus for enhanced vibration control.

Rear wall Sound Proof

The second layer is STP Biplast sound absorber, installed on the rear wall.

Doors Sound Proof

The doors of any car are one of the most important parts of the body structure. Without proper sound deadening, it is not possible to achieve driving comfort and cabin quietness, optimal speaker performance, or the solid feel when closing the door.
From the factory, most car doors are left largely undamped and uninsulated. The metal is thin, they allow cold air to enter in winter, and the speakers inside are unable to perform at their full potential. Unfortunately, the Toyota Hilux is no exception.

Doors Sound Proof

On the inner door panel, we install STP Aero vibration damping material to reduce metal vibrations and eliminate unwanted rattles.

Doors Sound Proof

The second layer is STP Accent, applied to the inner door panel. It provides sound absorption and reduces heat transfer, improving overall cabin comfort.

Doors Sound Proof

On the outer door skin, we install STP Aero vibration damping material to stabilise the door structure. This helps form a more rigid acoustic enclosure and reduces noise transmission into the cabin, improving overall driving comfort.

Doors Sound Proof

The factory door trim panel has minimal sound insulation and does not provide full surface coverage. When exposed to moisture, its performance is significantly reduced.

Doors Sound Proof

We install STP Biplast, which absorbs external noise and reduces noise transmission into the cabin. It also isolates contact points between plastic and metal elements, eliminating unwanted squeaks and rattles.
