Photo Report of Completed Work
The owner of the car came to us for partial soundproofing. He was most concerned about the hum from the floor of the car and vibrations from the rear wall, which caused it to "ring" on uneven surfaces and at high speeds.

Having disassembled the interior, we begin soundproofing from the roof.
Roof Sound Proofing

We remove the standard material, then clean the roof and degrease the metal.

Roof Sound Proofing
  • We install the StP Gold vibration absorber as the first layer.
Roof Sound Proofing
  • The second layer we install is the sound absorber StP Biplast
  • We clean the interior floor from dirt and dust accumulated over the years of use.

The first layer we install on the cabin floor is vibration-absorbing material StP Gold. High KMP will allow the material to effectively absorb vibrations and minimize their transmission to adjacent surfaces.

  • As a second layer, we install the StP Noiseblock soundproofing membrane on the interior floor. It consists of a heavy, highly filled polymer covered with a layer of non-woven fabric.

To treat the rear wall of the car, we use the vibration absorber StP Aero. We treat the shelf under the rear seats with StP Aero Plus.

The second layer is the relief sound absorber StP Biplast applied to the rear wall.

The doors of any car are one of the most important parts of the body — without proper soundproofing, you won’t get comfort and quiet while driving, good speaker performance, or even that pleasant “solid” sound when the door closes.

From the factory, almost all car doors come empty and bare. The metal is thin, they let in cold air during winter, and the speakers inside them work at only half of their potential. Unfortunately, the Toyota Hilux is no exception…
On the inner door skin, we installed StP Aero vibration damping to stop metal vibrations and completely remove unwanted rattles.
For the second layer, we applied StP Accent to the inner door skin. This material absorbs sound and reduces heat transfer for improved cabin comfort.
On the outer door skin, we installed StP Aero vibration damping to properly seal the door structure. This creates a solid enclosure and prevents external noise from entering the cabin, making your ride much more comfortable.
The stock plastic door card has very minimal sound insulation, and it doesn’t cover the entire surface. Once it gets wet, it stops working effectively.
We install soft StP Biplast, which absorbs noise coming from outside. It also prevents plastic-to-plastic and metal-to-metal contact, eliminating all small squeaks and rattles.
