We remove the roof covering, clean and degrease the metal. This will ensure good adhesion of the vibration insulation to the surface.
We are installing the StP Aero vibration absorber. Its special feature is a combination of small thickness and weight per square meter (2 mm; no more than 3 kg) and high efficiency (KMP at +10° – 0.33 conventional units). It completely eliminates resonance and the drum effect, giving a minimal increase in weight.
Floor Sound Proof
Instead of the factory material, we install StP Diamond vibration isolation. Thanks to the KMP of 0.6 conventional units, it effectively combats resonance in vibration-loaded areas, making the ride comfortable.
The second layer is sandwich materials. They are multifunctional, providing protection from external noise and audio preparation of the cabin at the same time. We combine materials: we install Qattara sandwich under the front seats, Bromo sandwich under the rear seats and on the central tunnel.
Boot Sound Proof
The bootis a direct continuation of the interior, and the noise insulation features are the same here. First, we remove the factory material, clean and degrease the surface.
We install StP Aero vibration isolation on the wings. It increases the rigidity of the metal and eliminates resonance.
We install sound-absorbing material StP Biplast Premium 15A (armor) on top. It holds its shape well, does not interfere with the installation of the interior and completes the acoustic preparation of the interior.
Doors Sound Proof
We dismantle the doors, removing the speakers, decorative panel and waterproofing.
We clean the inner metal of the door from dust and dirt, and treat it with a degreaser.
We install the StP Aero vibration damper between the stiffening ribs. With its low weight, it provides effective vibration isolation, protects the metal from structural vibrations, including bass.
The second layer is the Sonora sandwich. This is an important part of sound preparation: the material cleans the speaker sound, making it richer and brighter. It also reflects street noise, making the interior quieter and more comfortable.
We close the technological holes with the StP Aero vibration damper. It acts as a hydro- and vapor barrier, and also forms an acoustic box. We install the speaker in place.
We install sound-absorbing StP Biplast on top of the factory material. We cover the surface as much as possible, but leave space for the speaker free.
