Photo Report of Completed Work
A Nissan Navara arrived at our workshop with excessive road and tyre noise, noticeable cabin vibrations, and external noise intrusion.
After inspection, we recommended a full vehicle sound deadening installation using our Premium+ package, including treatment of all plastic components for maximum effectiveness.
Roof Sound Proofing
After disassembling the roof, we found no factory material designed to reduce noise.

The headliner was then removed, the metal surface thoroughly degreased, and lightweight STP Silver was installed.

Roof Sound Proofing

Having only a vibration-damping layer on the roof is not enough when it comes to reducing both noise and heat transfer. That is why the STP Splen was installed over the vibration-damping layer. This is a proven solution, tested in STP laboratories and widely used in automotive applications.

Floor Sound Proofing
I disassembled the floor and found only four small factory vibration-damping patches — clearly insufficient to reduce road noise transmitted through the body structure.
To address this, STP Gold was installed, a high-performance vibration-damping material featuring a 2.2 mm advanced mastic layer and a 100-micron aluminium foil backing.
The entire floor area was treated, extending into the rear wall and front wheel arches for maximum effectiveness.

Floor Sound Proof

Vibration damping alone is effective at reducing low-frequency resonance and structure-borne noise. However, road noise also extends into the mid- and high-frequency range, which is still clearly audible inside the cabin.

To address this, STP Bromo was installed to reduce mid- and high-frequency noise and improve overall acoustic comfort.

Plastic Noise

To reduce panel resonance and noise transmission through the plastic trim, a vibration damping layer was applied and then covered with STP Biplast. This eliminates rattles and results in a noticeably quieter cabin.

Doors Sound Proof

The doors in the Nissan Navara are large panels that are prone to metal resonance and related noise.

To address this, the inner door panels were treated with STP Gold for vibration damping and STP Sonora as an acoustic layer. This combination effectively reduces resonance and results in a noticeably quieter cabin.
