A Subaru WRX came to our workshop with excessive road and tyre noise, noticeable cabin vibrations, and intrusive external sounds disturbing the drive. After inspection, we recommended a 4-door soundproofing installation using our Ultimate package, which also included treatment of all plastic trim and panels for maximum effect.
Doors Disassebling

After disassembling the door, I found there was absolutely nothing inside to block noise — no insulation, no damping, just bare metal letting all the sound straight through.

Doors Inspection

“On the plastic door card, there were only two pieces of old synthetic padding left. We’ll remove those and replace them with modern soundproofing materials for proper noise and vibration control.

Plastic Door Card
On the plastic door card, I fully degreased the surface and installed a combination of materials: STP Bitoplast tape for anti-squeak treatment, STP Gold for vibration damping, and STP Biplast for sound absorption. This layered approach ensures maximum noise reduction and a solid, factory-quality finish.

Iner Door Skin

On the inner skin of the door, I degreased the surface, applied STP Gold for vibration damping, and layered STP Sonora on top to block external noise and eliminate rattles.

Details

All technical holes are carefully reopened and restored to their original factory design, ensuring full functionality and service access remains exactly as it was.

Doors Sound Proof

Finally, the outer skin is sealed with STP Diamond, closing off all noise sources and creating a proper acoustic enclosure for the speakers to perform at their best.”
