The owner of a GR Yaris came to us with complaints of door panel buzz, highway hum, and weak mid-bass.
After inspection and a quick dB check, we proposed 2-door soundproofing using STP two-layer tech: Vibration damping + acoustic/thermal decoupler.
We removed the trims, degreased the metal, checked for corrosion, and sealed service holes and speaker mounts.
Lightweight, non-bitumen stack—no hinge strain, OEM-clean reassembly.
Result: quieter cabin, tighter mid-bass, clearer vocals. Completed in 1 day.
After disassembling the door, we found no sound-absorbing material inside. The surface was then cleaned and thoroughly degreased.
The first layer is STP Gold, a vibration damping material designed to reduce vibration and noise.
The second layer is STP Biplast, designed to reduce noise transmission into the cabin. It also helps stabilize temperature and improve overall acoustic comfort.
To prevent plastic rattles, STP Gold vibration damping is applied to the contact areas. On top of this, an Anti-Noise Pack is installed on each clip.
To create a sealed acoustic enclosure and reduce noise transmission, we install STP Biplast on the door trim panel.
To eliminate air movement and panel resonance, we applied STP Gold to seal all service holes and reduce rattles.
